Jake
Jake
Jake has lived in Malmö for 15 years now, but he originally grew up in Canada. He has been tattooing for over 10 years. When he first started tattooing he only did stick and poke tattoos, which also explains the social media name Pokeeeeeeeoh. A name that still sticks around, even though he only tattoos with machine since several years back. He eventually got tired of the slow process of stick and poke, and of how small the tattoos had to be.
He used to co-own the tattoo studio Something in Malmö, which closed down in July 2026.
Outside of tattooing he has his hands full with co-owning a bakery called Farina in Malmö and with his two young kids.
Jake sees himself as a pretty timid person, at least in groups, and sometimes he finds it difficult to figure out the right moment to start talking. But don’t worry, you can speak both English and Swedish with Jake, even though he prefers to speak in English.
Jake really cares about his clients’ tattoos. He likes to spend a little extra time making sure everything feels right, especially if the placement is off. He doesn’t mind taking that extra time.
